This did drag at times and was a touch too long in true Liz fashion, but I’m so mad at past me for putting off reading this for so long. It’s been a long time since a book has broken my heart like this… I cried for, like, 80 pages straight!!! Instant 5 stars for making my cold, dead heart feel so deeply! I just simply loved Kai, Miller, Max and everything about their love. And Monty?? DAD. BLUEPRINT. No notes.

One of my only 5 stars of the year. And for a good reason!

Typically the single dad/ nanny trope isn’t my favorite but I know I LOVE the author’s writing style and I’m so glad I gave this a chance.

Miller is the typical black cat female lead. And from the outside Kai also gives those vibes but once all the walls are broken down he is a golden retriever who’s so loyal it’s only hurting him. I loved the slow burn, the dirty talk, the romantic parts. And the parks with Miller and Max (the son) when it’s Kai’s POV. Because Kai falls so hard so fast for Miller.

I honestly don't think that Liz Tomforde can do a bad book. I ATE this book so quick. It was literally the perfect amount of fun, sweet, spice, tension, and plot. Kai..... Kai the man you are. I don't know how to explain this man, and how good he is. I truly think that Liz is one of those authors that every single one of her male characters are book boyfriend material. Kai's love for his family is so pure, the way he loves Max is just *cheff's kiss*. He is one of the most selfless guys and would do anything and everything possible for his family, especially Miller and Max. He just made me melt throughout the whole book and I love that. Also, the Clark Kent thing was sooo good, and it hooked me more than I already was. Miller.... She is so relatable and I freaking loved her. I was able to see myself in her so much in the fact that you just don't want to stay in one place because of the expectations that she thinks she has from other people. The more you move and do the less likely you will not meet such expectations and the less likely you will get attached to someone who will place more expectations on you (if that makes sense). Her story was so well done and it really made the readers understand and see her. Her character development was truly one of my favorites parts of this book. The way she was able to find the love she has for baking was so beautiful and seeing her be able to get over her past and also be able to accept the love she deserves. Her relationship with Max was also so incredibly special and heart melting. Her love for that baby was just perfection. Kai and Miller's love was so freaking good! It was the perfect evolution from "I don't like you" to friends to "let's just f*ck and not think about it again" to "I can't stop thinking about it" to lovers. It's one of those stories that are just 100% true and believable, if they were real people they would absolutely would have gotten together and would have been perfect for each other. ALSO! Isaiah and Kennedy's book is about to be soooo good, I can't wait. Overall, this book was everything I wanted and I would definitely would read it again and again with no problem.

Favorite book from the series, even though it contains tropes I don’t usually love. Cried and laughed.

Love me some baseball pants. NGL, I cried a lot in this one. Went through a pack and a half of travel tissues. Maybe because I am a mom? And to watch Kai struggle and then
find Miller and all their struggles. The worst was “I hope you’re out there finding your joy because you’re the reason we found ours”
this book wrecked me, but ultimately happy ending and I’m excited to see Isaiah and Kennedy next!

Babe. Liz. Madam Tomforde. Miss ma'am. Where do you buy the good kush you put in these books? I'm addicted. Gonna go read about Zanders and Stevie just for the pure vibes even tho I didn't care a bit about them before starting this series. Now I do. I care very much. I'm invested in all of their lives. Like yes intertwine the crap out of all of them. I'm gonna go read book one as my impatient way of waiting for book 4 while praying to any and all deities out there that we get a RIO BOOK because my cutie patootie sweetie boo baby deserves to find his HEA just as much as all these peeps. Ugh so good. I'm having a great time.
