This little family has my heart in a chokehold. Oh my goodness....
Every single thing about this book was great. The sass, the banter, the steam, the angst, the feels, literally everything. The characters are so relatable for me and little Max is a heartthrob.
Props to Liz for this whole series because the books just keep getting better and better and I don't know how this one could be topped. Holy heck.
This is definitely a reread!

Well well well, isn't this adorable?
I started this Wind city series with its last book -so far-, just because I stumbled in several videos of booktokers just PRAISING.
So, I gave it a shot and I was not disappointed at all.
The story of a single dad -the baby is so adorable-, and an antagonist female lead, independent, workaholic, with a fare amount of daddy issues.
The journey it is a bit angsty but SO tender. They're afraid of the evident emotional connection they have, and also, they need to cope with the ghosts of the past, the fear around make commitments, to form a family.
And this is also a nice story about friends and community. Friends are there to support and laugh with them.
There will be a lot of tears -I mean, those insecurities hit very close for me-, there will be joy, and there will be lot of smut. Just on point, nothing too wild, the kind of smut that make you long for a nice night and a better breakfast, if you know what I mean.
This is lovely spicy story, and in comparison to the previous books, I find its conflicts so much relatable and realistic.
A must read, specially if you need some fantasy perfect men to disturb your mind a little.

5 stars???? ⭐️
I may round down to 4.5 stars as time goes on, but for now, the love I have for this book is actually unbelievable
Kai and Miller’s relationship is beautiful but so is their individual relationship’s with Max, Kai’s son. I think I loved how this story didn’t overly emphasize Kai or Miller’s careers, even though they played a large part in the story
I also love how Kai didn’t chase Miller when she left, but let her choose her path. It really made the reunion even sweeter. And made me understand their love better
The found family trope is a wonderful touch. Being able to see Zanders and Stevie plus Ryan and Indy is always sooo fun. but I loved the addition of Isaiah and Monty! (The parallels and Monty/Miller and Kai/Max made me cry)
Idk you guys I actually could spend hours talking about this book so I’ll just shut up now???? Probably not?? I’m going insane

I loved this book! I have been looking forward to it for months and it lived up to my expectations. I loved the tension in the beginning and how quickly they were in loved.

I don’t understand how this author continues to write such amazing MC’s. I thought Zanders & Stevie were top tier. Then Ryan & Indy entered the chat. And then Kai & Miller completely change the game. I absolutely ADORED this book.
