What a fascinating read. I needed a fictiony novel after some of the heavier stuff I've been working through, and this was perfect. Definitely violent, but in the way I knew it would be. I also found the romance fairly tastefully done. The cover made me think this would be very romance-heavy, but it was lovely!

Maid Marian starts out as a fairly naive character and presumably grows out of this through the book. However, she is placed into situations of pure stupidity in order to move the story line along. Better creativity should have been used in moving the story line along rather than forcing the main character to select deliberately stupid choices that contradict her growth as a character.

The story drags on with unnecessary scenes only to have the ending be rushed.

I would've enjoyed it more if I didn't know history. Oh well.

Awesome cover but it feels a bit too obsessed with sex. And body parts. And looking at reviews it looks like it isn't going to get better and I feel like if I keep going I'm going to end up hating robin hood stuff.
