Simon and Baz always get 5 stars.

I put off reading this for so long because I was scared it wasn't going to be good. And while there were aspects I didn't like
Spoileri.e the break up
, thankfully this was great.

Simon and Baz are perfection. Penelope and Shepard are cute af. And this book even got me to like Agatha.

I thought this was a solid end to a beautiful trilogy. I don’t like fantasy all that much, and yet Rowell writes such a compelling and well thought-out world with witty characters that it’s hard to put down.

Simon and Baz are having relationship problems, which could get bloated at times. The book could drag on, but I feel as if that represents Simon’s insecurities and depression in the beginning of the book. Once you get past that, however, the book is fantastic.

I am so passionate about this series, which makes my expectations for it that much higher. The plot was riveting, and cults always pique my interest. Smith sent shivers down my spine every time he showed up on the page. Jamie was a tragic figure that made me want to give him a hug. The goats were a strange interweaving into the story that I didn’t expect, but I loved how Agatha is the one to save Watford. Agatha and Niamh are adorable, but I wish their relationship had a little more development. I understand that the book is already long enough, though, and I’m so happy they got together and that Agatha feels where she belongs at the end. Overall, such a great addition to the trilogy, and thank you Rainbow Rowell for fueling my Simon-and-Baz-loving heart!
