This was definitely an improvement on the previous comic, which I think mainly had to do with having a much smaller cast to focus on. But there were still times the mystery was hard to follow along. I kept flipping back to see if I had missed a clue they discovered, only to find that my memory hadn't deceived me and that it hadn't been mentioned before.

Nancy Drew meets Supernatural and some form of hallucinogen. Bizarre, yet likeable.

Liked the mystery and art, but same racism issue as last time. Also did not like the presentation of people who lack vitality as all being fat, while those who have it are thin

In hindsight, the first book methodically sets up the bizarre nature of Hobtown for maximum benefit the second time visiting. Some absolutely buck-wild decisions made throughout. They got something special cooking in Québec…

I enjoyed this more than the first book!! The best thing about these books is the artstyle to me. It's so dynamic the shading, the expressions and the way they narrate certain instances is like watching something . The editing is very cool. I loved this one because of how mysterious it seemed. I love Pauline too and I loved seeing her explore this. At the end I still didn't get answers to all my questions. But I loved it.
I like culty mysteries so diving in to this was pretty cool the visions and experiences that Pauline goes through were drawn so well!!
