Tengo que ser sincera, este libro ha sido muy sin más. No sé si ha sido por cómo está escrito o porqué pero no me ha enganchado nada. Es verdad que los temas que trata son muy crudos y duros pero no conseguía meterme en la historia. El final abierto tampoco me ha hecho demasiada ilusión a pesar de que entiendo el porqué la autora lo ha dejado así. Supuestamente es un libro de misterio pero en realidad, de misterio tenía poco. Era más bien intriga de saber cómo se iban a desarrollar los acontecimientos. Siento que es un libro que se queda muy en la superficie de lo que podría haber sido.

WHEW this was intense.
Upon recommendation of a lot of people, I listened to the audiobook version and am glad I did.
It plays like a true crime podcast, but also allows us into the head of one of the main characters who the "podcast" is about. It gets you emotionally hooked until you can't stop.
Fantastic storytelling.

Upon recommendation of a lot of people, I listened to the audiobook version and am glad I did.
It plays like a true crime podcast, but also allows us into the head of one of the main characters who the "podcast" is about. It gets you emotionally hooked until you can't stop.

Critiquing this is tough. I will say I didn't realize that the content is about sexual abuse of children.
I think the writer does a great job of showing how indifference/ignorance/vulnerability can all set up these terrible situations. I related to the characters, and the writing.
That said, I do not like this subject matter. I do not need to like this subject matter. It is so very upsetting. The world sucks. I hate that people harm children.
It was an important book that will leave you feeling helpless. But also aware of what these situations look like.

When a book brings tears to your eyes...that’s when you know it was worth the read. I highly recommend!
