A new chapter in Alita's life has introduced her to a new world, a new enemy, and a possible new ally as she seeks her forever home.

While it was action packed, the sixth volume was not as action packed as other volumes before it. Nevertheless, the series continues to pack a bite and a punch!

Alita is now an agent of Zalem and on the hunt for Desty Nova. Her quest to find the doctor has led her to the desert sands.

This was action packed like usual but Alita is hardened and becomes addicted to battle. She is slightly crazy in parts of this volume. I feel like with Ido no longer around she is losing herself. She does make a new friend though, Figure Four. He is an interesting character. I don’t really love the romantic element that is being pushed between them because it felt very abrupt and unnatural.

This Barjack arc seems like it will be an interesting one. It is also apparently the longest story arc so we will see what happens next.

3.5 stars. A couple things I learned from this volume. Alita has a type, she can still kick butt, and I don't love side quests.

One might ask, is this the same Alita that I've been reading for the past 5 volumes? It's relatively new, and weird and it gets going at the same time. I'm in this rush to read volume 7 in wanting to know what the hell is really going on now.

A new arc story, introducing a new main character.
