Listened for Review (Penguin/Random House)
Overall Rating: DNF
Audio Rating: 3.50 (not part of the overall rating)
Why I DNF'd: I listened to 2 hours of the audiobook and the author went on way to many tangents. This is a case that I find fascinating but I don't feel (with what I listened too) this is a compelling read about it. It might have gotten better (with structure and tangents) but it just did not work for me.
Audio Thoughts:
Amanda did a pretty good job with the 2 hours I listened too. It is hard to tell if I didn't get more into the narration due to the book or the narration (which was pretty methodical but appropriate for the writing). Overall I would try her narration again.
DNF just means it did not work for me.

Too much unnecessary detail for me. Could have used some more editing.

I found this book informative and interesting. You can tell the case was well researched. It could have been shorter. It dragged on in some areas and became redundant. Overall, it is worth reading. It saddens me that the families will probably never have closure. The whole investigation was handled extremely poorly.

Well written with a lot of details about the murders and the investigation into them. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because some of the writing seemed to be unnecessarily repetitive.

I think this case is interesting; it just wasn't that compelling of a book.

Many many theories presented here as to actually what happened after the original suspects were released from prison based on new evidence. I have my opinion as to which theory is most valid but that would require spoilers...
