Surprise pregnancy can be hit or miss for me. But here, it works. It works because Win and Bo are full and complex characters, and we get the chance to see them slowly break down their walls (mostly on the side of Win) during the pregnancy and their time getting to know each other. We follow everything through the eyes of Win, but are given enough about Bo that it doesn't feel as if we are being shortchanged of his POV.
They each have a physical difference, one from birth and the other from later in life. They also both have rough former relationships that have made them a bit hesitant to accept that this time something is truly different (again, especially for Win). And they have a circle of friends that are amazing. This book, despite the whole situation at the beginning that leads to the pregnancy, is really a slow burn while Win and Bo work through their true feelings for one another, and for how they can work together for both their soon-to-be child and their own relationship.

Really fun and extremely cute. Could have been good to include at least some conflict to make the story a bit more realistic but I really enjoyed.

I went into this book not knowing anything and by the end I was tearing up, giggling and kicking my feet at the same time! I think this is one of my favorite reads of this year so far!!!

Audiobook on cloud library.
The audiobook narrator isn't the best, and I already dislike where the book is going too.
FMC is already annoying.
