Enjoying this series. Quick read. Fast paced, no uneccessary twists and turns, likeable characters.

Legal stories are interesting to me. I enjoy understanding the nuances and rules for legal proceedings and when a story also includes action and intrigue the pleasure is enhanced. The characters are realistic, there is conflict and change over the course of the story.

I enjoyed this book too, but not as much as the first Sasha McCandless book. Six months after her last adventure, Sasha is on her own and gets sucked into a web of small town misadventures surrounding the hydrofracking industry. Fracking is a well known topic in Pennsylvania but I'm not sure if it's known everywhere.

The characters are good and the plot moves well, though without many twists and turns. The plot itself was a little confusing (the part with Jeb made perfect sense but the hotel was less clear.)

Still a good read but not riveting like the first.

Another quick and fun read. Can't wait for the next one... amazed that it's projected to be released so soon! Thanks for getting me back in the habit of devouring books!

A definite improvement from the series debut, more credible plot, better character depth. On to book three

A solid legal potboiler. Sasha McCandless is roped into the feuds and troubles of an oil boom town.

There's nothing here you'll remember a month later, but it's a pleasant way to pass an evening.
