This is book is such an easy and enjoyable read due to how relatable it is for most women in their mid 20’s to early 30’s, but I imagine it would be enjoyable for any gender/age group.

The memoir is honest and open without being heavy but there are still emotional moments that connect you to Dolly and some of the other people featured.

The joy of female friendships shines in this memoir and is good reminder that love looks different for everyone.

read this for a book club with my 3 childhood best friends, so it made for a great discussion about friendship and growing and changing overtime (as individuals and together).
the first third of the book is STEEPED in alcohol. other parts are a bit rushed. the story line of her friend’s sister was very very sad

This book didn’t change my life like so many people promised it would, but I think it’s because I’m very lucky to have already known a lot of the things Dolly gives advice on. Everyone should read this, this book to me is already one of those books that in a decade everyone will say ‘remember that book?’

This memoir is a masterpiece that truly encapsulates the lovely thing that is womanhood and friendship. I can’t say much without spoilers but this. It is very different from what I thought it would be in the best way possible and filled me with the warm and fuzzies and a new found sense of contentment as I age. I would recommend this novel to any twenty something woman out there!

I kept on having strong urges to journal after finishing chapters… this made me do a lot of reflecting and made me feel very grateful for the relationships in my life <3

this was really beautiful, while cementing stuff i sort of know as an 18 year old hopeless romantic without a fully developed frontal lobe yet, it was a really beautiful memoir and reminded me that not all love stories are romantic and life is messy and unpredictable and difficult and unfair but also really wonderful when you finally have that sense of self, when you are actually content and have peace.
