It starts off a bit slow. I was captivated a bit less than the first time I read this.
Rudy is an up-and-coming newly graduated lawyer. He is trying to fight his first court case. He faces several set back and he's still trying to learn the rules of the game and he needs to relearn things that law school did not teach him or that he was schooled against.

The main court case Black vs the insurance company was an amazing ride.
Rudy is not an amazing hero he has flaws, and he has still the very youngest faults. But still, I found myself rooting for him and his clients.

The addition of a young pretty woman who does not makes up her mind to leave an abusive marriage, well I would have liked that storyline better if Rudy wasn't the knight in shining armor and she the only woman he tried to help. It seems to cheapen the case the fact that he only tries to help her because he wants her free for himself. But it serves to show him as someone who still has faults.
