I want to be the one to make you cry. Only me. Cry and bed and scream. Don’t mistake me for a good guy, Ashleigh. I’m a bastard. No one knows that better than you.

This was...I’m still trying to figure that out. For something that should have taken me less than two hours to finish, I put it down a lot. For almost two days. Ashleigh is seventeen and homeless. Sutton is successful, lonely, and heartbroken. And he’s sweet. Too considerate for Ashleigh. He wants to take care of her, but doesn’t even realize it. And she wants to take care of him, but doesn’t even realize it. They were both troubled in so many ways. I’m glad that they finally understood that, and let each other go. Gave each other time to heal and grow, and then made their way back to each other. I would have liked to see more of the future than of the present. They grew apart, so I would have really liked to see how that affected them going forward.

My Favorite Quotes:
•”This is the only place I want to be right now.”
•”The way you look when you ate that is the same as you look when you come. Have another one. Have three.”
•”Every day. Every night. Every damn hour.”

5/10 Dirty Birdy
4/10 Second Chance

Honestly, nowhere near as dark as the synopsis makes you think it would be.

It's only been a month, but I don't remember a thing about this book. Sorry, book *shrug*
Nice cover, though.

So this was a very quick and easy read but, overall, a very confusing story. It wasn’t really about Sutton and Ashleigh but everything around them. It seemed like a whole bunch of random thrown into what was supposed to be one couple’s story but it didn’t work for me.

Didn’t technically finish this book. After reading the first few chapters, I couldn’t quite get into it.

The potential of this story is huge but I needed more. It's a beautiful story, but I kept feeling like something was missing, like it was written fast and the author didn't give her all in this story. Too bad, it could be a 5 star read, I'm leaving it at 4 because Sutton and Ashleigh deserve them.

The age difference was too much for me.
