All Boys Aren’t Blue is a beautiful and important memior/manifesto. This story is absolutely essential for queer young adults to see important representation. I can imagine it is especially impactful for black queer young adults as well! I laughed, i cried, i had my heart broken and repaired!!! An emotional roller coaster! Check trigger warnings for graphic and explicit content before reading.

"All Boys Aren't Blue" is a memoir with a unique perspective and voice. It's a great book for teens dealing with marginalization and a good read for others trying to understand other people. There were a few nit-picky things that I didn't like, but those aren't as important in the face of the vulnerability of the author in telling this story and how important it is for marginalized people to share their stories.

This book was so touching and enlightening. It's at once sad, but hopeful and inspiring. It's written for YA LGBTQIA+ but anyone and everyone can benefit from reading it. Go read it!

Read as part of volunteer book screening. I don’t think I’ve ever read a memoir written by someone still so young, but this was such an honest look at the author’s life experience so far. Super valuable information for youth exploring their identity and for people who want to understand and support others.

This is a story of hope— and also a story about how families can both protect and heal marginalized kids from trauma. The writing was sometimes confusing but the story is compelling. This is a book written with obvious love for other black, queer kids and those who love them.

Beautifully written storytelling. Book is full of hope, love, and unfortunate trauma. Would read again and recommend to others, especially young queer people.
