I really enjoyed Raising Lumie. I love the family story, the hutzpah of both girls, and learning about being a seeing eye dog trainer. If you have middle school students who like animals, realistic fiction, and a feel good story-i'd recommend Raising Lumie.

this book went by so slow and was boring for me. it is not a type i would normally read so maybe that's why. i personally think that it had no plot and to me it was saying the same things over and over again.

I loved this book! The characters have so much heart and I loved reading about Lumie’s journey. Great read for Puppyraisers or people who have a service animal.

This was literally such a good book. Idk how to explain it but I was SO sad when they had to give her away at the end. Still loved it though.

I love this one so much that I'm going to push for it to become our district's required reading during the next go-round with the curriculum. Bauer is easily one of my favorite authors, and this only underscores just how awesome she is.
