“Life was nothing like a fairytale, There were no happy endings.” The conclusion of Dahlia and Vlad’s story is anything but a fairytale. Bound by duty, her mission and hiding a huge gapping hole in her soul Dahlia is back at it again. Once again I really could not understand how someone with her past would agree to do anything for the mission. While Vlad is stuck in a cycle of violence that he cant seem to escape. I still felt bad for him considering how he was left. But that pity is sort lived especially after he literally walks away. After that I just feel bad for everyone involved. I was genuinely surprised by the dynamic between Dahlia and Salvi. But I guess people can change if given the chance or a good reason too. I was alittle disappointed about how they decided to end it. I did really enjoy reading this story, it is really well written and low key addictive. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Yep, no, Dahlia being with the other guy I already forgot the name is a big no.
The end is ridiculous too. Him forgetting the ring in the trunk of the car, is he dumb?

I hated Dahlia. I hated Vlad. What he did to her, come on, that was unforgivable.
I don't care enough about the other characters to read their book.

Hot Damn

Wow, ok where to start, I couldn't review the first book because I legitimately hated Dahlia so much but.....she kinda redeemed herself in this one. Let me start by saying this was a TOUGH book to get through. If you read the first one, the first half of this is a real doozy. Lots of triggering situations and her forcing herself into situations she really doesn't need to be in. Honestly Dahlia's back and forth stuff bugs me but, I'd be lying if I said this author wasn't a beautiful writer, she absolutely is. She did an amazing job of character development, and I've never hated a heroine so much. But in the ending seemed rushed even though it was a HEA. I love that she turned a villain into someone worth forgiving and I'm interested in the story she spins for Salvi so I'm looking forward to the next book.

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange of an honest review. Thank you, Beena!

So this is the 8th book I’m reading from this author and I am more impressed with her imagination each and every time I get my hands on one of her books. And my heart hurts that I have to give this book 4 stars instead of 5, but I just couldn’t get over the prison part of the book.

First of all, this is not the kind of book anyone has the guts to read. Even though the first 20% of the book started slowly, when the action started to roll, I also started having mixed feelings... The subject that touched me the most in the book was the rape... and the author managed to write the action so well, that it felt real. When I was more than half of the book into the action, I had to take 10-15 minutes and breathe because my heart was so broken for the main female character, that I simply needed to take a break from reading the book. I was never so involved into a character’s life, like I was in Dahlia’s when she had to face one of the worst situations of her life. My heart ached for her. Literally.

So this is why, the part with Salvi was my favorite. I don’t know why, but I liked him better than Vlad. I just couldn’t forgive Vlad for being such an ignorant guy in prison... Yes, we had a happy ending, but for me, nothing that happened after the prison scenes didn’t matter anymore. I would have rather seen Dahlia with Salvi, than with Vlad.

But no matter how I feel about it, I still need to praise Beena for her writing style

I don't want it to end!

I loved everything about this duet! What an emotional roller coaster ride! I can't accept this is where it ends. A must read!

Can we take a moment to appreciate Beena? This woman is talented! Her Beauty and the Beast series is the first of her works that I'm reading. I have felt all of the emotions reading her work so far. Since I've been emotional with everything I've read this week, I cried reading this one.

Not a fan of this one cause I was bored half the time and honestly I just read this to see what happened to vlad. I think throwing Savi into the plot they way he was added was not the best.
