This was fine. For a short book, it felt long. There was a lot of ambiguity throughout and not all questions were answered.

This was a wonderful read, with an unraveling mystery and a cast of characters that I wanted to know more about (they were never boring and all had unique personalities). The worldbuilding felt complete, I was never left confused on what the author meant.
All the witchcraft details were so artfully woven in. The magic system felt very connected to how past lay healers operated, though of course with an actual bump up in power.
The writing was well thought out, and a good read.
