Meh. I mean, I liked it. You know, since it's eNoLa HoLmEs, I mean, hello!

But with regards to the book itself, while I loved the beautiful illustrations, there was just...really...not much thought put into the details of this book. I mean, they got some things right...but in all seriousness it's not really something I'd read again.

Also, the LOVELY dynamic between Cecily and Enola that I WOULD DIE FOR is practically...nonexistent in this version. And I mean I get it, it's a watered-down illustrated version, and much of the Enola/Cecily dynamic actually goes on within Enola's head (trust me, it's not as creepy as it sounds)(it's only a little creepy)(which in case you're wondering, I completely stan), and while in the book her and Cecily spend little time together, there's always the hope and possibility of their friendship in the future. But, as this was only a summary of a much superior book, much of that was cut.

TL;DR: If you're bothered by adaptations messing up details, don't read this book. Also, if you ship Enola/Cecily (like me), you'll find it sorely lacking. But with regards to the artwork...it's beautiful.

This one was actually better than the first one.

Enola Holmes now disguised as Ivy Meshle has another case : a missing lady.

The way that she solves the case is wonderful. The hypnotizing part was weird. Overal, the book was quite well balanced.

I was actually attracted to the book because of the cover. Lovely eh?
