It felt a little slow in the beginning, but picked up a bit later on.

An enjoyable, quick read about a group of women pickpockets and shoplifters in London after WWII.

This was my first book at the Forty Thieves and I did very much enjoy it. I thought that the story flowed well and liked that it was from two different perspectives. I thought it was a little slow at times; though, I still flew through it. None of the characters were likable IMO and I wish the ending had taken a bit more time.

This book was tough for me. It took me a bit over 50 pages to really click with the writing and it moved pretty slowly for the first half of the novel. I also felt like some trigger warnings were really necessary, for sexual assault and a somewhat forced adoption. There were some continuity issues with dates that could’ve used some editing too. Overall, the story was interesting, but it’s not a book I’d pick up again.

The pace of this book felt weird, it was really slow to start and then when it finally got to the action it was over. It is based on a real gang and seems well researched but the writing was not very good, the same description was used multiple times.
Good for a fast read and the story it self was interesting enough for me to finish it even though the writing and pacing left much to be desired
