Ooh, I actually liked this more than the first one. WAY more mermaid stuff 😍 I also really like where it seems to be going for the third book.

I liked the first book but not enough to know if I wanted to pick up the sequel but I’m glad I did. This one blew the other one out of the water, pun intended. 
It’s giving angst, heartbreak, betrayal, and some very steamy scenes. I also enjoyed the world building in this one a lot more because it felt more relevant to the plot with the threat of war. 
I loved the ending so much!!

I think this one is better than the first, because it includes a lot more fantasy elements than romance, which is always more appealing to me. Again, quick and fun.

I liked it more than the first one, honestly! I thought the plot was more interesting and because relationships had already been established, there was some inherent intrigue whenever a familiar name came up

This series absolutely destroyed me emotionally, to the point where I couldn't finish it. If you struggle with depression I would highly advise caution
