Spies and sexy times by Katrina Jackson! Yay! They aren't ready for their HEA, so you should know that going in. I want more of this world as soon as possible...

Katrina Jackson is always one of my favorite authors, and I love the shenanigans of this series in particular. I’m looking forward to seeing Caleb work through his stuff and get to a place where he’s ready to be in a relationship and trust someone. I’m also looking forward to more of Lamont and his figuring out some work-life balance. I cannot wait to see these two find their way back together cuz I just know it’s going to be so good! And that final line! Oof, I need Álvaro’s story with his (ex?) wife, cuz I love messy characters and relationships like that!

I loved Lamont and Caleb’s story and I’m so glad there is more coming. It was also nice to get a hint of Chanté and Asif! I need more, but I can be a good girl and wait for it.

Oooooh, I loved this. Some readers will probably argue about the ending and if it really is a romance since there is no HEA, and no real HFN either, not in the sense traditional romance defines those terms.

To me though? It was a HFN. Both characters are kind of happy with how things end. Or at least they know that how things end is how it has to be for now. The connection between them just needed more time and space, but the foundation is right there. There is so much possibility, and the time they do spend together is wonderful for both of them. I loved it, everything about it.

Part of it is how much I adored both MCs, especially Lamont. He is a complicated man, with so many feelings and so many ways in which he is incredibly hard on himself. I wanted to hug him so much, or at least grab his hands and tell him it’s okay. And I could’ve spent hours and hours more in his head. I adored him, I felt with him and I was so invested in his life, his heartbreak and his case, I read the whole book in one go.

I cannot wait to revisit these two, the release of Brush Contact cannot come fast enough, I HAVE A MIGHTY NEED. That is all.
