What a fun book! And the silly name for the cat provoked some fun too. Every day Cookie does something else: knocks a plant off the windowsill, pulls down the curtains... you get the idea. The 2yo really loved this one.

Jacob first heard this book at school. He could read most of it to me.

I would probably recommend this book to small children because it is a simple yet fun book! The illustrations are cute, and the colors were fun. I thought the story was fairly simple, but it would be easy for kids to follow along! This book walks you through a week full of mischievous things that Cookie the cat has done. There's really not a whole lot to the plot, which is why I would suggest it be used for younger children, but it can also be used to teach the days of the week to them! At the end of things, I'm not sure if I personally would use this book in a classroom, but I would also understand why some would!

A good introduction to the days of the week and inference questions (what do you think happens next?). The cat named cookie offers funny and cute way to learn about the days of the week. A good activity would be to start using a calendar after introducing this book and a book about the months of the year.

Cute short story that invites children to tell you the day of the week.
