This book was inspiring. I have to say now that I both love and hate Ahmet's writing style - sometimes strangling a point to death - but the content of this man's thoughts and emotions is nothing short of a miracle. An essential read for a writer, especially one who has forgotten his imagination. An eye-opening read to anyone else. I had to ask the internet how this book came to be in my hand and I'm glad I did.

In the US, we do take our freedom of speech for granted, Altan's book teaches us why we shouldn't. I have not read anything by Altan before, but now I will seek out his books.

Powerful account of a great injustice. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found the language poetic and potent.
