The first one was really good, and it set my expectations a little high. The rest were a chore to get through.

There were some good suspenseful stories that would make a few decent movies.

Four short stories inspired by MR James, and updated for a present-day setting. They were also turned into scripted works, so were very similar to radio dramas. Not as good as I'd hoped, but good enough to keep me occupied while doing housework, walking, etc.

I've had this in my audible library forever and finally got around to it. It entertained me enough- I have a weird affection for mediocre radio-style drama- but it wasn't good enough that I would recommend it. Also, there was a story where one of the major deaths left me feeling like our protag was better off anyway, which was not the effect they were going for.

For all those who listen to audio books, they will know there is a huge difference between a full cast book and narrated one. This book is full cast with background noise and everything. I felt like it greatly took away from the story. It was hard to hear at times, and sometimes it took a minute for me to figure out where the characters had gone. I think it may have been good if it was written, but as an audiobook, I just couldn't finish it.

An interesting idea but is plagued with poor editing and some very vague noises that are supposed to give you information on the plot. Ruffling paper and screams for one minuet does not tell me anything that is happening.

An interesting collection of mini horror stories that were narrated exceptionally well.
