Quite interesting. I really liked her line "You cannot write a single line without a cosmology".
Book thoughts~
You cannot make a single decision if you don't understand who you are, what the world means to you and who you want to be. A life philosophy, an openness is necessary to make choices that you're happy with, to behave in ways that align with your soul.

I started listening to this in (excellent) audio format, but by the time I got to the chapter of her singing Ready for War I knew I wanted to buy the book and read it more slowly, with more careful consideration. I felt this book speak to me, deeply, in a number of sections. I can’t wait to read it again.

Beautiful writing, incisive view of the world for women: at one point, Solnit points out that with all the "Be careful...."s we give girls and young women, we are constantly asking them to picture their own demise. We do, and we should stop.

Beautiful prose - I’d heard of Rebecca Solnit but never read anything by her before - I’ll be looking for more
