An Unholy Affair by Evie Alexander
This is the second book in the Foxbrooke series, you can read it as a standalone, but Evie's stories are so good that you don't want to miss the prequel novella One Night in Foxbrooke, and the first full length book Love ad Lib.

Content warning An Unholy Affair contains death of a parent; child abuse in the past but discussions on the page; and alcoholism. The main character is a vicar, and there are multiple discussions of faith and God. If these topics are hard for you, keep yourself safe.

I loved An Unholy Affair. Right away the connection between Jack and Eveline is so true, so instant, so intense. The description of souls connecting is exquisite!

Things I am here for:
Female clergy! Eveline is a vicar. This was extremely rare when I was growing up, and still not allowed in some religions. I'm always here for women in careers that were historically men only.
Jack is a sex worker. Sex work is work.
Estelle! I truly can't wait for her book. Estelle is the very best friend.
Eveline is also a pig farmer. She loves her animals, takes good care of them, slaughters them compassionately, and then uses their meat. Small farmers are the best!
The way Jack puts Eveline first, always. Swoon!
The mural! And how the mural changes Jack. ❤️
Robert is the sweetest side character.
The sex index! Best invention ever!
No third act break up. Jack tries, but it doesn't last the night. Phew!
