Reread 7/19- Still so cute and fun!!! I forgot how much I liked this one, even though Boy Meets Girl is still my favorite. Utterly delightful with some fun little surprises and a GREAT supporting cast to go along with stupendous MCs.

First read:

So cute! So fun! I love books written in this format, and this was no exception. A great summer read with some intrigue, romance, and nosy coworkers all trying to get the scoop. Loved it!

Sometimes a good ol nostalgic read hits the spot. Sweet, goofy, plus it’s Meg Cabot so will always have a place in my heart.

Cute and funny. I wish there was a movie though so I could see the whole story and not just the emails. I read it in one day. The main characters are cute and believable and the side ones are hilarious. There are so minor twists but nothing huge. Perfect beach read.

This book was great! The whole thing was done in email format and at first it was a little distracting but then once I got into the story it actually was a great concept. It was hilarious! I love all the antics and the story and how the two main characters Mel and John are trying to have a realationship but all of their friends, family and coworkers get involved in their relationship!

Very sweet story. My only real criticism is that there are no dates on any of the communications which make it difficult to gauge how much time is passing. Characters will mention how long ago events happened and it feels like the numbers come out of thin air.

Fun, cute , entertaining.

But I still don’t like reading a novel based entirely on emails.

"Melissa Fuller, gossip columnist of the fictional New York Journal is on the brink of losing her job. This particular morning she is 68 minutes late for work - making it her 37th late arrival so far this year. Human Resources have given her another official warning, her boss seriously doubts her commitment to the paper and, more importantly, even her best friend has begun to worry about her psychological well being. This time, however, Melissa has a real excuse. She has just saved her elderly neighbour from a near-fatal attack, taken her to hospital and in the process become sole custodian of Paco her Great Dane - not the ideal accessory for a New York City girl. Melissa urgently needs to trace her neighbour's only relative and when she finally meets him the real trouble starts." (From Amazon)

A great romantic comedy! I enjoy Cabot's humor.

It has humor, romance and mystery, which is such a good combination especially since Meg Cabot pulled it off nicely. I love how she manages to write the book in its entirety using only email conversations.

The heroine, Mel, is really sweet and loveable and all the other characters were just as endearing.
