So fun to see new stories in the Death Note world, and seeing that panel of Ryuk handing Trump the Death Note will never not be funny.
Taro's story was probably the weakest but still interesting, and the four panel comics were quite fun, genuinely loved the ones about Ryuk being more human than Shinigami.

I finished the anime (which was amazing) and I decided to pick this up. I love how all the stories have a different twist. It makes me want to read the og manga now!

Death Note is one of the most brilliant supernatural thrillers. I was so happy to finally get my hands on the short stories and oh boy! It was so fun to read about Ryuk and his mischief. Still one of my top 5 manga.

Don’t go into this expecting the same level of storytelling as the original. It’s really meant as a warm hug from the writer to the fans that have already watched or read this story and miss the world. Overall it was great to revisit a series that has ended and be back with some of the characters.
Full transparency….I just wanted to see L. I missed him. Unfortunately, the first 2 stories include Near and the only portion with L is the shortest of all the short stories included. Even if Near is the equivalent of an unfrosted pop tart compared to L, I’m still glad I read it and got to visit this universe again.
