Griffin and Cosy story takes the Shacking Up series up a notch. Helena Hunting as always delivers a story full of humor and romance, with amazing characters. Cosy is in college and works at a sex toy shop, Griffin is set to buy things at the sex shop, they meet and now opposites attract in a hilarious way. Prepare yourself on a journey you won't want to end, it's an emotional road with humor and love you will enjoy this summer.

Love, love, love! I love her crazy hockey stories, but this new series that is a little less hilarious and a little more angsty are just fantastic. I love her characters: Cosy who is spunky, friendly, outspoken and just a bit snarky. Griffin is a billionaire heir, works in his father’s hotel empire, has all the merits to be an entitled jerk, and yet he’s a nice guy with a big dose of humility. A recent break up has broken him a little and he feels a tad loveless.

Griffin and Cosy initially meet when he goes to a sex toy store where Cosy is a clerk. He’s a little shy and embarrassed, Cosy is helpful and gets him his shopping list for a bachelor party complete. She’s so charming and entertaining he’s hooked but she won’t date customers. One, they may be kinky, and two, it might affect future sales. But Griffin is insistent and off they go into a fantastic love affair. Lots of yummy sex, cheeseburgers with lots of onion and great conversations. They get along like a house on fire, and pretty soon, what should have been a two-month affair, turns a bit more serious and both don’t want to let go....

Griffin has secrets and they come out one after the other. Cosy is understanding but not that much. When she hits her limit, her heart breaks but she breaks up with Griffin. Then it’s up to Griffin to make things right.

I loved how Cosy handled Griffin! She kept him on his toes, she made his life brighter and happier, and he loved to pamper her. Cosy is a wanderer at heart, and Griffin understands her and accepts her and even panders to the wanderer in her. I also loved seeing old friends, Lex and Amie, and meet new Nevah, Cosy’s sister. I hope to see more books in this series!

As with HH’s books, there is always family, both the nice ones and the douche ones, plus always a witch to throw a wrench in the works. It was entertaining, lovely, warmhearted. I loved the story, the characters, enjoyed reading this so much, I totally recommend!

Okay, romance lovers, can you keep a secret? Although I have happily promoted Helena Hunting and her books for a very long time, MAKING UP is actually the first book of hers that I have read. Yes, it's true... *ducks and runs* Why, I don't know, because now I am now kicking myself and wondering what in the actual heck I was thinking.

As this was my first time in Helena World (see above), I wondered whether the book would work for me. Let me offer a resounding 'YES!' This book can totally be read as a standalone, and, while characters from other books do make an appearance, there's plenty of back story offered here for it to make sense. And, you know, whet our appetites to get the heck caught up with the rest of the Shacking Up world.

MAKING UP is just the kind of book that I want to find on my book pile again and again and again. What a delightful read this book was! I fell in insta-love with both Cosy and Griffin, and absolutely inhaled their story. Awkward, sexy, funny, these two are a match made in heaven, and seeing them get from start to finish could not have been more fun. Any book that can leave me with a smile on my face and a love for characters that will have me reading the author's other books is a win for me. 4.5 stars and a must-read recommendation for MAKING UP. Get it. Read it. Love it.

Helena Hunting has surpassed all of my expectations for this book. From the start I was 100% invested in Cosy and Griffin’s story. They are pulled to one another and compliment one another so well. I love that they don’t just immediately fit together. They have to work at their relationship and be 100% vulnerable with the other. And when they are together the sexual tension is off the charts. I could not put this book down because I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. If you are looking for a new read, this is the book for you!!!

Cosy meets interesting people all the time working at an adult toy store, but when Griffin walks in, he effects her in a way no one has before. She is instantly attracted to him but can tell from his clothes that he is way out of her league. But just when she thinks that they won’t meet again, he shows up and changes her life.

Griffin can’t get the woman from the adult toy store out of his mind. He is always known to do the right thing and never rock the boat, but Cosy is different. She pushes him to be more carefree and to look at life differently. Yes there is an age difference, but what is age when you have chemistry.

As they navigate their relationship during the time they have together, they both can’t help but wonder what if they could make it work for longer than a few months. But what will happen when Griffin’s past comes back and changes the new life he has finally started? Will he be able to move on and be with the one he loves? Or will fate have a different idea?

Cosy is a college student working in Sex Toys Warehouse when she meets Griffin, heir to a billion dollar hotel legacy. But Cosy doesn’t know that. She knows he’s wealthy and 11 years older than she is, which they have to get past. And they do, because Cosy’s free spirit calls to Griffin. And Cosy finds the kind of relationship she’s never has before with Griffin. But the book isn’t called Making Up for nothing. A series of events cause Griffin to do a lot of groveling. And the last one is a real deal breaker.
