Classic Christie. Final Poirot. We’re back at Styles, where Hastings and Poirot first met. But now Poirot is ailing and he has one more murderer too catch in the act. We are presented with a large cast of characters and many clues, but both Hastings and three reader are left in mystery about this murderer.

Another wonderful Agatha Christie novel! I had read in a clipping from 1976 that this book was planned to be published posthumously but circumstances changed. It was quite a fitting farewell to such a beloved character. Definitely brought a tear to my eye. Has all the hallmark trappings of a Christie novel. Some people have commented that they noticed degradation in her writing over time. While I have not read all of her work, I can say with this novel being near the end of her career and life, I did not notice a loss of talent. Fully enjoyable!

يعود الكابتن هيستينغز لمنزل ستايلز .. المنزل الذي شهد اول قضية عمل عليها بوارو و هيستيغز سوية بعد طلب من بوارو .. ليجد هيستينغر صديقه المحقق العظيم و قد اصبح طاعنًا في السن .. قعيد لا يقدر على الحراك و يطلب منه ان يكون عيناه في هذا المنزل لأنه يتوقع حدوث جريمة قتل لأحد افراد هذا المنزل
لم أكن لأقبل بخاتمة لروايات بوارو اقل من هذه .. وجدت نفسي دامعًا عند إغلاقي للصفحة الاخيرة من الكتاب
