Very entertaining! Hard to read in some places (google trigger warnings if you need). Overall, impressive horror. I'll be reading more Cutter.

Top tier horror. If you’re squeamish, do not read this book. Wow

Quite possibly the scariest book I have ever read. With both scenes that will turn your stomach inside out and then tug on your heart strings. It’s my favorite book of the year.

Full disclosure: I didn't read the whole synopsis first- I got as far as the thin, dangerous man stumbling across a troop of scouts on an isolated island, saw the Stephen King recommendation, and placed a hold. If I'd kept reading it, I would have seen that the man is dangerous because of a bioengineered nightmare- int he form of wormy things that spread easily. The writing was good- in that the descriptions of the disgusting effects of this worm infection made me want to barf at times

Nice book but the characters were kind of meh and not too deep just pure gore for the sake of it mostly..

This book's style was deeply reminiscent of what little Stephen King I've heard, and I suppose that can be taken as a compliment. I'm looking for Lovecraft, personally, but like ol' H.P. and other quality horror, this book did balance the horror without with the horror within.

Certainly plenty of nastiness, if that's your sort of thing. I mostly wanted it over with.
