Literally just a body horror movie in book form. I have a strong stomach but even considered not finishing. I usually love thrillers and horror but this was just so predictable and relied on nauseating descriptions.

yuck. this book was foul but did make me anxious and scared at times. contagion and isolation are two timeless scary tropes when done well

10/10 horror read. The dread that is built from the prologue to the 1st chapter is exquisite. You know what’s going to happen but how it happens is a surprise.

Probably one of the best horror books I’ve ever read!! This was disturbing and suspenseful and I freaking loved it! Did however deduct a star for the animal stuff iykyk 😔

The first piece of horror media in a long time that has made me physically uncomfortable. Outbreak meets lord of the flies, if both of those things were cranked up to a hundred. A harrowing story that manages to find the soft pieces of humanity in an impossible situation. While also being deeply upsetting, a page turner to be sure - but avoid if you're squeamish.
