quite complex short stories, originally written in Portuguese

I liked Mia Couto's short stories way better than his novel Sleepwalking Land. His fantastic way of creating new words was too dragging for a "long" book, but it was perfect for a collection of short stories.
My favourites were The bird-dreaming baobab and The Russian Princess.
