Wow, what a ride. I loved book one, book two was ok, and the first half of this book felt like a slog. It was tedious to read. I feel like book two and the first half of this one could have been edited down to make this a duology. While the “magic” system was super unique, it was also overly complicated and technical. However, the ending saved it for me and I am gutted.

I’d definitely recommend the series. It’s not my favorite ever but I love how different it was.

Look. This man made me cry over a key. A key. Beautiful story and a truly beautiful ending to the series. Definitely worth the time to read it all!

This started out extremely info dumpy, but picked up around the halfway point both story and character-wise. An enjoyable end to the series.

I chewed through this finale in a couple days because of how compelling and engaging it is. This book opens with an eight-year time jump from the end of the second book, and much of the world has changed. Things are truly falling apart, and the crew needs to figure out how to literally put reality back together. I absolutely love the characters Bennett spins here; Sancia and Berenice are faced with incredibly complex citations and the ways in which they respond just feel so real; Clef and Crasedes come more into focus, and their lives leave them with strong motivations and the ability to do crazy things. Bennett’s writing style gels with my brain in an unexplainable way, and I really want to read more of his work. I just love this series so much, and I’m so glad the finale wraps everything up so well.
