A good comic. Nice art style and I like the father daughter dynamic and the conflict of the story, from what I can glean from only reading the third part of this series. However, one thing is stopping me from wanting to read more of the series, and from giving this comic full stars, is a very stupid choice from the characters. WHY would they go into a portal leading to an unknown place, opened by an unknown person?? I understand they were in a tough spot, so they wanted to escape it, but trouble you know is better than trouble you don't. If characters make an idiotic choice, I expect there to an understandable reason. There was none in sight.

Reading Status: I am intrigued about the weird shit that is thrown into this world, though less enthused than I was by issue #1; I think I really just want to see the cat get his revenge.

Notes/Highlights:

•If you are reading this review then I will safely assume you have read #2, and now I can discuss Estelle a little more. She was a devout Christian, fully believing that since she was good (super good) when she died she would get to Heaven and be reunited with the love of her life. Only, in Reborn you get no guarantees. It turns out that Estelle is now a Faerie Queen, and her husband died way before she ever reached this new world. Which sucks major ass, right? I mean, what is the point then of an after world? Why should Estelle stick around? Is there an after-after-world? I mean I should expect so, I find it hard to believe that people DIE in this after world again. Maybe when they die in this fantasy world they are then reborn into the "real world", like their souls get recycled? Help me out here because this sounds legit, but I have no idea where the writers are going with this so, anything is possible. The concept of a "soul" hasn't really been touched upon, since Bonnie was made up of memories I am basically assuming there is a soul, though no one in the after world actually knows what the holy fuck is going on or why and no one seems to be WILLING TO ASK. Infuriating. Again, Bonnie cares very little, she wants to find her husband (priority numero uno).

•Special weapons, bad guys! Kidnappings! Cats out to kill you! Yes, this issue has more action. Bonnie finally gets to maybe kick some ass, though she certainly does not know where the ability comes from, or why! But then again, nobody else does sooo...

•Why is Bonnie for the most part only surrounded by people who knew her in life, no matter if she does or does not remember them?

•Piece of info courtesy of the bad guys, it seems that in this world you level up! Or something, you get special abilities, somehow. Can't wait to learn the freaking rules.

•FLYING ELEPHANT!

description

•Loved the concept of the "prison in the sky". I love the art, if only we had a little more to go on for the story that would be fantastic. So far it is a very cut and dry "good versus evil". Most interesting bad guy is the cat, "damn you Bonnie, you took my balls I shall take your life!" HA!

If the Roy-Boy, the dog, dies I will RIOT

There is a lot to build on and create a really interesting story in this world. Enjoying it.
