What I Didn’t Like:
-Content warning: child abuse.
What I Did Like:
-This is a perfect marriage between REAL horrors and paranormal ones. The author has done an amazing job melding them into a study in symbolism. If you can handle those topics, this is a CAN’T MISS book.
-Absolutely terrifying. Which is the highest praise I can give a horror book. I’m not easily frightened … but this one got me.
-Voice. As is typical for Mr. Leveen, this voice is simply perfection. You feel like you know this character right away. You feel like he’s telling you a story. You’re completely wrapped up in his world.
The Verdict: 4 Stars. As long as you can handle horror … this is a book you don’t want to miss. HIGHLY recommended to horror fans.
