Hugh Grant narrating this took it to another LEVEL. Such a good story, the symbolism and allegory next to none.

This is definitely one of those important novels that people should read. The message is good even though it is a story most people are familiar with. Dickens has a special way with words.

HATED this book when i did it for my gcses n I've reread it now in preparation for my pgce where it'll be MY job to terrorise year 10s for practically a whole year with this book ! yay ! but I'm older now and better read and can appreciate this for what it is a lot more now and its a nice heartwarming story about the joys of Christmas and how important it is to be kind to your fellow man! whats not to live actually! it goes soooo much faster when you arent annotating the HELL out of every word too but that's school for u lol,, will be watching the muppet version soon 👍

This is still fantastic as it was when I first read it last year. The themes of forgiveness and a reflection of the choices one makes can be seen so well throughout this book. Even though this book was written in the 1800's, I love that it is timeless. The themes and characters are so realistic in 2015. I highly recommend this book for everyone to read. It's one of my favorite Christmas books.
