I read this book in one sitting and stayed up late to finish it! I love that the author told the story of the White Rose group in poetry and I think it's a fitting form for the story. This was heart wrenching and incredibly emotional--I cried at multiple parts. I also think this is such an important book for our time, and I hope that high school teachers will use this novel in the classroom, especially when educating about the Holocaust. I will be recommending this book often!

😭😭 I think this is the most depressed a book has made me. She definitely did the white rose group justice as an author, they will be remembered ♡ so glad i read this.

Interesting historical fiction written in verse. Very important to read the titles of the verse to keep track of whose point of view is expressed.

this was an amazingly well done historical fiction novel in verse. i'm really glad that this book told a different story from world war 2 and we found out the germans side of the story. the fact that it's based on a true story was even more exceptional as you got to discover what activism meant to germans helping and rebelling against their own kind. our main character was brash and a very strong and proud person. a really well done verse novel and definitely would recommend to anyone who enjoys historical fiction.

This was a great story that was communicated in the absolute wrong way. The poetry made it difficult to understand what was happening, and it was not written well.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the verse and the back and forth between the past and present. I also wish that we have gotten an aftermath of the ending instead of immediately going back to the past
