all around amazing. the perfect mix of light hearted summer time fun and dealing with bigger issues all played out by a cast of incredibly lovable characters.
could use more books about all the other characters but glad that this one was only narrated by sadie. all the characters were complex and had their own issues. the uniqueness and almost oddity of the group of friends made them so enjoyable to read about.
also was so happy with the length. only 315~ pages but felt long enough and not rushed which i’ve been finding with a lot of books recently.
really wish they had made gordie bi/queer. although the characters were diverse otherwise there were no (openly) queer characters and the author definitely could have fit gordie being bi into the plot.
