I have waited lifetimes for you

Oh damn, this was such a delicious fun and fast paced read. A perfect way to end my 2021 challenge with. A fun take on the mythology, gripping from the get go and Hades… Hades is my new Obsession I tell you. All the frigging stars for Hades!!

This is a good pick if you’re in the mood for a smutty fantasy that has some bits and pieces of mythology elements present. I loved the Underworld settings for example, but also the presence of other ‘familiar’ characters out of Greek mythology.

Was it perfectly executed? Nah, I’ve had my raised eyebrows here and there, but damn… it really delivered incredibly high on the ‘enjoyment scale’ and I couldn’t get enough of it. Looking forward to reading the next books, including the Hades POV one because that was something I was missing here haha. Cannot wait to dive into that one and read his thoughts!

“He was beautiful in a dark way - in a way that promised heartbreak.”

I really loved it! Dark and intriguing, bold and sultry! Very fun read! Great characterization, loved the descriptions and all of the things. I love Greek mythology so I might be a little biased, but I loved this book.

I really enjoyed this book! I felt like it was just enough of a slow burn, great character development, and enough spice to make it a fun read. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the characters or the setting at the very beginning, but they hooked me quickly and I ended up really loving the development of Hades, and the emergence of Persephone finding herself along the way. Their love story is a quick and easy read, and I devoured it in a short time! I am excited to move on to the next books in the series!
