Ciekawa. Połowa opowiadań dobra, druga połowa niekoniecznie. Kupiłam że względu na V.E. Schwab i na jej opowiadaniu się nie zawiodłam

Got put off by the first short story alluding to the teen protagonist having sex with the 25-30 year old appearance vampire (who was actually centuries old) and how he ‘ruined her’ for any future partner. :|
Minor: Sexual content

This book was quite a lackbuster for me. I've been reading consistently 4 and 5 stars books this year and I found one that didn't work for me. Yes, it's a short story collection and most of them were ok short stories but not one of them really grabbed me and wowed me.
Some I wish were longer and could develop a bit more their world, such as Dhonielle Clayton's, Rebeca Roanhorse's or Judy Murphy's. But they lacked the wow factor of a short story.
Pity, because I really wanted to like them!

Well... That was disappointing.
I adored the diversity, but the majority of the stories just felt extremely flat. I didn't really care about any of them. The only one I enjoyed was A Guidebook For The Newly Sired Desi Vampire by Samira Ahmed. I actually really enjoyed that one!! But the rest I either didn't like or just felt very lukewarm about.
It's a bummer because Victoria Schwab is my favorite author, but even hers just didn't have much to it.

Mildly interesting. But got a bit repetitive at times.

I think this might be the strongest multi-aurhor Short Story collection I have ever read. I still had favorite stories, but none sucked lol
