I read this in one evening, because I simply couldn't put it down. How refreshing to read a LGBT YA novel that is so bright and positive! While not a utopia (which wouldn't be fair to all those LGBT youths who go through very difficult times, especially in high school), the author clearly drew on her experience to create a protagonist who, while still prone to normal teenage emotions and confusions, is comfortable in his sense of self. Simon is a wonderful protagonist, nowhere near perfect but so damn endearing. Writing believable teenage characters isn't always easy, but Albertalli's vivid writing perfectly encapsulates what it's like to be a teen and all of her characters feel like people I could (or did) know myself.
The "mystery" is pretty easy to solve and I wondered whether I wasn't supposed to know the answer before the end. But that didn't take away from my enjoyment of this wonderful story.

Por libros así me gusta tanto leer.
Este año empecé a descubrir lo realmente obsesionada que estoy con la lectura. El año pasado ya me di cuenta, pero este 2018 me viene demostrando que leer es de las cosas que más disfruto hacer, TODO el tiempo. Además, le di un tiempo de descanso a la fantasía y la ciencia ficción y me puse a tragarme uno tras otro libros de contemporánea romántica.
Y apareció Simón. En este libro Becky nos cuenta una historia de amor tan linda sobre Simón, este chico gay que no salió del armario. Disfruté cada segundo leyendo este libro. Me emocioné, reí (muchísimo), llore y me sentí conectada con Simón. Becky consiguió que me volviera a pasar algo que venía un tiempo faltandome en mis lecturas: que me sintiera casi mejor amiga de los personajes. Los quiero, siento que los conozco y quiero conocer a gente así en mi vida. Esta historia es muy linda y la disfrute en todo momento. Quiero un novio que sea hijo de Simón y Blue porque son las dos personas más tiernas que conocí jamás. Lo único que no me gustó del libro fue la traducción, pero la historia esta genial. Super recomendada. Eso sí, si van a leerlo, leanlo en ingles que debe ser una experiencia todavía mejor si se puede.

I know everyone's talking about this now that the movie is out but I do really like this book. Simon is quirky and relatable. I know there are some questionable lines about lesbians (which the author has since apologized for) but I do think this is an accurate representation. Sweet and fun romance with deeper themes about acceptance.

I loved every moment of this much more than the first time that I read it. Simon vs. is a beautiful story that is and will continue to be relevant as the years go by.

Its not a bad book but some of the jokes for me felt flat and personally I didn't enjoy. But I do love Simon and Bram's love story :)

Se perfectamente bien que estoy fuera (por mucho) de las edades a la que está dirigida este libro, pero aún así es muy entretenido, ligero y te deja con un muy buen sabor de boca.
I'll probably never have a boyfriend. I'm too busy trying not to be in love with someone who isn't real.
Tiene muy buena representación lgbtq y los dilemas que se tienen en la adolescencia cuando se es parte de la comunidad; tambien el libro es muy bueno mostrando lo que se siente ese primer crush en la secundaria, los celos entre amistades, la relación con los padres y hermanos y todo desde un punto fresco.

Sí quieres leer un libro para relajarte, sin que te haga sufrir y el cual puedas leer rápido, este es una muy buena opción.
