At first I was interested in it for the Iranian history, but I think it should be known there are a lot of historical inaccuracies.
This book had complex characters and I wished more was written about them, but also the story dragged along too much.

Did not read because I was over ambitious and excited about the library.

My favourite thing about this book is the cover. So beautiful! I wish I could love this one so I could sit it on my shelf forever.

I couldn't get into it. I was intrigued at first, but the distance between the characters and the reader really showed here. I couldn't connect with anyone. I didn't know their thoughts or feelings and found myself just not caring what happens to any of them. Even Aria, whom I assume was supposed to be our main protagonist, felt so distant. There were entire scenes that didn't involve her at all.

I had a hard time working out who's story this was supposed to be and why I was supposed to care.

07 - The first book you touch on a shelf with your eyes closed
