I feel like I can officially be initiated as a housewife now.
Regardless, phenomenal read that breaks down the misconceptions on laundry. I’ve now thrown away half of the phony products in the laundry room and replaced them with the suggestions outlined in the book. Who knew I would be so excited for sodium precarbonate?

Laundry Love is a delightful little book about doing laundry. (That sounds like an oxymoron, but it truly is a fun and enlightening read!) Patric Richardson knows his stuff—he has a degree in Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles from the University of Kentucky; he has worked at several high end department stores; and he currently runs a “Laundry Camp” at his clothing boutique in the Mall of America. His love of caring for textiles is contagious. He shares so many great tips for extending the life of your clothes, many of which I’ll be implementing in my own laundry routine. This is quite a short read, with a charming and cheerful tone throughout. I’m glad I bought my copy of this one so I can refer back to the extensive list of stain removal methods according to the type of stain.
