This is such an adorable book. The illustrations are colorful and inviting. The story shows that power that reading can give us! I would definitely recommend this book for young readers.

This is so cute. A perfect book to honor readers. It’s creative and fun. I can’t explain but it’s fantastic in so many ways. It’s full of imagination and awesome thoughts about getting lost in stories and libraries. The story is very fun and the illustrations are friendly.

I received this book from Netgalley/publisher in exchange of an honest review.

How can I, as a bookworm, resist this adorable and fun sounding book? That’s right, I cannot! I just had to get this one!

In this book we meet a little girl who is a giant bookworm and decides to build a big, magical, fun, library! I loved seeing her get the idea and then try to make it reality. From grabbing things left and right (doesn’t matter if anyone was using it given that she took the dining table mid meal

This was such a wonderful and playful book. My kids loved it as much as I did. We explored what it means to have a library and where all the books in a library can take you as well as what else makes a library really great - like a comfy chair.

The first word that comes to mind is aww! This is a cute little book about a girl who wants to build the best, biggest, and a most wonderful library. It’s full of imagination and fun with giants, dragons, teeny faeries, and whatnot.

There are books for everyone, stacked so high that you’ll need tall ladders. There’s unlimited ice cream to eat, a playground to play in, and just about anything a kid would want.

The illustrations are lively, cheerful, and warm. There’s really isn’t a story per se. It’s more of an ode (of sorts) to booklovers and libraries. Still, it’s a delightful book.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and Capstone Editions and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Why you may be asking, did I just read a picture book?

I have no clue. But! I very much enjoyed it! It's a simple book all about building your dream library (which is something I personally think about often) and it's also very inclusive which I loved seeing!

I don't really know how to rate or review picture books since I never read them, but if you are interested in this one I would definitely recommend picking it up!

*Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!

If you got the chance to build your own library, what would you put it in? Books, of course, but what else? A giant comfy reading chair? A cozy little nook? Maybe a giant slide! So You Want to Build a Library explores just that concept. It is funny, imaginative, and bright. It would go great with a conversation about what your child would want in their dream library, as well as why some of the sillier ideas might not be such a good plan (an ice cream sundae booth sounds great until your books get all sticky!)

Note: I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not compensated in any other fashion for the review and the opinions reflected below are entirely my own. Special thanks to the publisher and author for providing the copy.

This picture book takes children on an imaginative adventure of building a library and all the possibilities that holds. It is a fantastical and fun tale.

I had high hopes for this book. It sounded amazing. While it didn’t live up to it, I believe the concept is great. The point I’d hope is to get children thinking about what they would do if they build a library. Children loving books enough to want to is great. So if this book helps children feel closer to books then it has my vote.

I suggest having your children think about what they would do if they could build their own library. Perhaps have them draw a picture or paint one. Have them tell you their creative library as a story or to actually write it out on paper. Another great idea would be to record their story with your phone or a camera so that one day they can look back and see their amazing thoughts.

Let me know the wonderful things your children’s imaginations come up with or your own ideas on your ideal library.
