It has all the things I loved from the series! (duh)

I love it when:
1. Gore
2. Angst
3. Profanity
4. These things being used to mask James and Alyssa’s emotions. James dulls his emotions under the guise of being a psychopath while Alyssa is ill-mannered but deep down only wants to find her father.
5. Demonic cults

i’m so confused absolutely love the netflix series, found this a bit too dark with not enough lead up to events, since i’ve watched the show i was able to follow but i know if i hadn’t i’d have found it a bit much, just in general a bit much to read some parts might just equally be because i don’t read any kind of dark-horror

also
the police/not police/IDK what was that????? WHY did they attack james and what was up with satanic cult storyline can’t tell if it was meant to be a police brutality type of mesage within the book or just there for the sake of it???? same goes with alyssa at the end slitting james into her arm,- feel a lot was just done for the sake of a gasp and not actually to further the plot

the series is definitely better than the book due to the fact that more threads have been finished, here some explanation was missing.

I thought the TV show was strange but watchable, the comic on the other hand is just strange. Never hated a book this much.
