Kept me intrigued for sure.
Like what the heck was going on? I just HAD to know. Definitely not what I expected at all. Crazy twist ending!

I always love anything Kiersten writes and this book is no different! Hemlock was a bit more of a slow burn than her typical fast-paced thrillers, but it was a wild ride at the same time. There were so many twists and turns and a true spooky factor that kept me on the edge of my seat. Can’t wait to see what she writes next

Not a thriller. More romantic and predictable twists

I was going to give this 3 stars, and then the last 20% bumped it up.
Things I loved:
- dual POVs “then” and “now”
- fake dating trope
- new old flame trope
Things I didn’t love:
- inability to communicate trope (I hate when 80% of the relationships problems could’ve been solved if one of them just said “shut up and let me speak”)
- overuse of the “I’m just so confused I don’t know who to be with!!!”
Overall, the first 80% of the book was good but a bit slow. The last 20% had some really great twists, some that I kind of expected but a couple that totally caught me off guard!

Graphic: Child death, Murder, Fire/Fire injury, and Toxic friendship
Moderate: Death of parent
