~ 3 Haunted By Her Dragon Stars ~

Haunted By Her Dragon is book three in the Dragon Guards series by Julia Mills. This book can be read as a standalone, but best read in order to get full scale of characters and plot.

Haunted by Her Dragon was an ok read. It starts off a bit slow. We do get a little deeper in the plot, some suspense, and romance. The storyline was lacking in that it did not having much passion, action or imagination to this book. The couple are hot for each other, but the love build up felt like it was not there. Some of the relationship areas felt overdone or baseless. This series is an insta-atraction/love. The sex scenes where steamy and that was the only time Sam and Lance truly connected. We do meet an adorable child Sydney who is very special, but we never learn what she is, how special she is or what her gifts/powers are. There is also a mention of a prophecy, but no real talk about it.

Haunted By Her Dragon was just ok, not the best book in the series. Even though I had my issues with this one I I urge you to give it a shot, if you find the blurb intrigues you. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.

Wow, just when I thought book 2 was the best this one topped it, so many emotions and an amazing story has be addicted.

Book 3 continues to show us how fate brings the Dragons and their mates together. This time its Lance who has gone from making fun of the others, to being the one after meeting his mate months ago after saving her after a building exploded while tracking Andrew must finally admit to the others he has also find his mate and needs help. Not only do we meet Dr. Samantha Malone, but sweet little Sydney who Sam is treating at the hospital and feels very protective of as they both share a similar childhood. After Andrew decides to make an appearance after discovering Dr Sam Lance and the Dragon Guards must now work out how to protect not only his mate, but also the special little girl Sydney and each other.

With every book you learn more about the Dragons Guard, as well as those around them, hopefully we learn more about Max and his people in some future books.

The title didn't seem to fit for this one....haunted by. It would indicate a ghostly sense, watched by her dragon would have been more aptly named, and the cover was okay, didn't really jump out at me. I liked that this time around there was little insecurity, much better book, and the storyline was good but we are seeing too close a pattern for the story lines in this series. Feels a little like...wash...rinse...repeat. Still overall a good book, and loved that you added Sydney to the mix. She was a nice addition, to the relationship of Lance and Sam. I can't wait until Andrews book, but I bet he will be last. I like the bad boys! Overall entertainment value....four stars.

This was the best book in the series yet. It was swoon worthy romantic. The addition of little Sydney was wonderful. I love the closeness of the brethren. A great story full of action, bad guys, true love and passion. Don’t miss it!

I have been reading these Dragon Guard books in order, so a lot of this story seems repetitive in the whole "you're my mate, I must protect you" thing. However, I love Dr. Samantha with Lance the jokester. Little Sydney is absolutely adorable. I have also enjoyed keeping up with the rest of the clan. I'm a bit frustrated with the traitorous brother who is hellbent on revenge, and somehow managing to slip from their grasps yet again.

Lance, the joker of the clan, has a smart mouth and is a beautiful Golden dragon. He has lost a lot, so once he finds his mate, he tries to stay away from her, while protecting her at the same time from Andrews deranged plans for vengeance.

Samantha's a doctor in her surgical residency. She was kidnapped by the Auctioneer in Book 2 and Lance saved her from a burning warehouse. She can't get him out of her mind and feels that someone is watching her, not in a creepy stalker way but making her feel safe.

Sydney is a foster kid that Sam has to operate on and instantly connects with as bother are foster kids and orphans. She is a very smart little girl and she has a knack of seeing/understanding things that get past the adults!!!

Although this is a series you can read them out of sync, as I did, and not miss too much as each story contains a small recap of the previous action. But you'll definitely enjoy them more reading them in order. I love the world that Julia created and which contains there very hot but sweet and adorably out of their depth dragons. It's fair to say that their mates are wearing the trousers in these relationships. They may be the alpha males but these fiesty females are more than their match!!!
