✨Re reading my favorite book series from when I was in high school (doing live reactions on my IG: dreareads_)✨
Nostalgia is still strong with this one!
4/5 BECAUSE while nothing really happens for most of the book plot wise, we get some really great character moments, the romance is extremely angsty which I Love and that ending is GUT WRENCHING
Random Thoughts:
- I’m so excited with the introduction of Adrian
- Love the discussion of the politics of this world
- Omg these teens are h0rny
- We get the beginning of Mia’s character arc which is one of my favorites in the series
- SPOILER:
Rose defending Mason’s body will break my heart every single time
- END OF SPOILER
PROBLEMATIC STUFF:the main relationship is still a problem (and we add Another grown man that’s into a 17 year old), the lack of diversity is palpable (it is SO whyte and SO str8), the mental health stuff isn’t really great but tbh I’m surprised by how well it holds up.
