I love Penny Reid. But if I’m being honest, I feel like this trilogy should have been wrapped up in 1-2 books max. This last book just felt like it was drug out and I found myself skimming towards the end. I hate leaving bad reviews and I really do love all of her other books. I just wasn’t feeling this one.

I read all three and am rating just the last one because it's honestly weird this was three books. It made for three wordy, excessive, overdrawn books instead of one we'll-pace, normal book. I don't understand the appeal of drawing them out. Taken as a whole, the characters were fun enough. Decent banter, tension, connection, etc. But impossibly cluttered. The shift from book 1 being pretty much no sex, very clean to book 3 being so much sex was also jarring.
I read all three real quick so I don't feel annoyed at wasting my time, but it looks like all the books in this series are set up in the trilogy format and I won't be reading them.

Didn’t enjoy this one as much as the other two books. Not really sure why but..
I do wish there had been more of how they were going to HEA. Perhaps I’m being selfish but I wanted something more solid.
Here’s hoping we see something with Lisa and also Leo too.

This is the best of the three.
I loved it. 💞💕💖❤.
It was funny, really funny, and sweet and a brooding besotted Hero, which is so refreshing.
They are all about each other, no flirting or cheating.
There are a few vague offers thrown in for Abram, due to his lifestyle but he has no interest in anyone other than Mona.
This book is still slow burn, as although they want to be together, they have to work out how to do that as book 2 highlighted they are travelling in different directions, location wise, in their careers.
Mona has a few issues with her family, that were raised in previous books, to sort out.
Mona does have an issue with an event that took place in her past and because of that, although no details are mentioned, she does refer to previous sexual partners, no names or anything like that but it's part of her problem with intimacy.
There are plenty of secondary characters that could have their own story lines in future books.
There are mentions and appearances from characters that have appeared in other series by this author, esp The Knitting series as Marie is Abram's sister.
There is a HEA in the sense that you know their plans and they are happy together.

Marie’s wedding in London with all the Knitting in the City crew was a really fun ending to this series.

This book is a compilation of some of the most moving, sensitive, emotionally eloquent descriptions of love and relationships-it moves you constantly. I just finished and cannot think of one specific part that is my favorite; the whole movement of the story and the notion of time is so beautiful. You will finish this and have two new favorite characters!

This was my first series from Reid. I’m not exactly sure how I was blessed to get the advanced copies of this series but I am so thankful to have the honor to be chosen. I absolutely adore that the main character is a brilliant scientist. So often in books the female character is shown as being a student, a secretary, or even when in a position of power still bows down to an alpha male character. Although Mona does have insecurity issues, the entire series still has a different feel than most. I really can’t wait to see what happens next. I know I’ll be checking out the rest of Reid’s books.
